The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley...
Is for boys and girls. The Club has a youth-only membership and satisfies the age-old desire of boys and girls to have a "Club" of their own.
Has full-time professional leadership. This is supplemented by part-time workers and community volunteers.
Builds character. The Club guides boys and girls who may be in danger of acquiring or who already have unacceptable habits and attitudes, as well as guiding boys and girls of good character.
Assures that all young people can afford to belong. Membership dues are kept low, just $15 per year, so that all can afford to belong, and no one will be deterred from joining.
Is building-centered. Activities are conducted in the warm, friendly atmosphere of facilities especially designed for such programs. Our Locust St. Unit features a gymnasium, teen center, learning center, arts room, stage, leadership center, kitchen, cafeteria, games room, and much more.
Is for boys and girls of all races, religions, and ethnic cultures.
Is non-sectarian and has an open-door policy. The Club is open to all members during its hours of operation, with some evening hours reserved for teens only.
Has a varied and diversified program that works. The Club recognizes and responds to the collective and individual needs of young people, utilizing nationally-recognized educational and recreational programs that have proven effective over many years.
Is guidance-oriented. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley emphasizes positive values in the relationships members have with each other and their adult leaders. It helps boys and girls make appropriate and satisfying choices in their physical, educational, personal, social, emotional, vocational, and spiritual lives.
