What is Junior Youth of the Year?

Junior Youth of the Year is an annual Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley event that celebrates the extraordinary achievements of youth served by the Club, age 10-14. The process involves a written application, the creation of an “All About Me” portfolio, and the delivery of a speech at the Junior Youth of the Year event.

Candidates for Junior Youth of the Year are selected based on their values of leadership, service, academic performance, and healthy lifestyles. In their speeches, candidates share their stories, vision for America’s youth, and how their Club Experience empowers them to find their voice and achieve success through mentorship and guidance with caring adults.
