Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of Columbus Elementary School!

The Boys & Girls Club of Columbus Elementary/ABS, an AASD 21st Century Community Learning Center/Extended Day Learning Program, provides before and after school high quality youth development programming for all youth in grades K-6, including for students who are not enrolled at Columbus Elementary School or Appleton Bilingual School. The BGC of Columbus Elementary is moving into its 2nd year with the 21st Century Community Learning GrantWith this grant, we will be able to continue to provide more amazing academic opportunities for our Club members at Columbus.  This grant will also help our members meet local student standards in core subjects such as literacy and other educational services.

Caregiver Portal

We’ve launched a Caregiver Portal which will be your one-stop shop for all things related to registrations, payments, youth information, and more. Club Ins & Outs:

Check in: Check in is located at 913 N Oneida Street. Members can enter through the front doors and head right into the gym which is located to the right upon entering. Members are expected to be signed in by 7:30am or 3:30pm respectively unless otherwise discussed with the director.

**Once students are checked into Club, they are checked in until either picked up or leaving for the day with parent permission (members cannot leave and come back, unless there is an appt. or circumstance discussed with the director ahead of time).

Pickup: Members can be picked up at Door G off of Commercial Street by Parents or other Authorized Adults (18+).

While completing your membership in the Caregiver Portal please be sure to review the family handbook and member agreement, as your family will be held accountable to the expectations listed there. 

Medication Administration: 

If your child needs to take medication during Club hours, please contact your Program Director to complete the forms needed. We cannot use the same medication form approval that is provided to the school district. Any medications taken at Club must be in a separate bottle with Club forms filled out by a physician and parent/guardian. 

Important Dates & Special Hours:

The Boys & Girls Club of Columbus is closed the first Friday of each month from September – May to dedicate to staff development.  The Boys & Girls Club of Columbus is always closed on any AASD no-school days but all BGCFV Club members are eligible to attend the Appleton Club on any no-school days.  Please click here for more information on special hours.

Page Turners Early Literacy Tutoring Program

2023-24 program registration for Page Turners opens on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 in the Caregiver Portal. 

Page Turners Early Literacy Tutoring Program provides support for students in grades K-3 who fall below grade level in reading skills.  Tutors and youth meet together on-site for half-hour sessions twice per week.
