Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of James Madison Middle School!
The Boys & Girls Club of James Madison, an AASD 21st Century Community Learning Center/Extended Day Learning Program, provides after-school high-quality youth development programming for all youth in grades 6-8, including for students who are not enrolled at James Madison Middle School. The BGC of James Madison Middle School is moving into its 2nd year with the 21st Century Community Learning Grant. With this grant, we will be able to continue to provide more amazing academic opportunities for our Club members at James Madison. This grant will also help our members meet local student standards in core subjects such as literacy and other educational services.
Due to staffing transitions, the Boys & Girls Club of James Madison Middle School is unable to operate the after-school program at the start of the school year. We are currently working to provide reliable transportation from the school to our Appleton Club (160 S Badger Ave). This change in operations is temporary, and in the meantime, we are actively working to identify staffing solutions and reopen the Club as soon as possible. We will keep families informed and provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.

Club Ins & Outs:
Check in: Check in is located in the Cafeteria. Members are expected to be signed in by 3:30pm respectively unless otherwise discussed with the director.
**Once students are checked into Club, they are checked in until either picked up or leaving for the day with parent permission (members cannot leave and come back, unless there is an appt. or circumstance discussed with the director ahead of time).
Pickup: Parents/authorized pickup people (18+ years old) to call/text our Club cell phone to have their children sent out at Door, G located near the Softball Field.
While completing your membership in the Caregiver Portal please be sure to review the family handbook and member agreement, as your family will be held accountable to the expectations listed there.
Fee Structure:
There is no fee for youth to attend this Club location, thanks to funding from a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grant and support from the Appleton Area School District.
Medication Administration:
If your child needs to take medication during Club hours, please contact your Director to complete the forms needed. We cannot use the same medication form approval that is provided to the school district. Any medications taken at Club must be in a separate bottle with Club forms filled out by a physician and parent/guardian.
Important Dates & Special Hours:
The Boys & Girls Club of James Madison is closed the first Friday of each month from September – May to dedicate to staff development. The Boys & Girls Club of James Madison is always closed on any AASD no-school days but all BGCFV Club members are eligible to attend the Appleton Club on any no-school days.
