The Boys & Girls Club of Appleton is thrilled to share that it will be offering even more fun opportunities for your youth this school year. The Appleton Club is offering dance and basketball classes this fall! Classes will be available for youth ages 6-12 registered as Club members for the 2024-2025 school year. The best part is that these classes are being offered at no additional cost.
These classes are only offered at the Boys & Girls Club of Appleton branch and will take place between September 9 and November 24th.
Jazz
Jazz is filled with high-energy movement! This Club class will explore technical foundations, musicality, and performance. It will also educate youth on technique and choreography.
- Tuesdays: Ages 6-8 will be from 4:30-5:30 (max of 12)Ages 9-12 will be from 5:30-6:30 (max of 12)
Lyrical
Lyrical combines with ballet techniques to use creativity, imagery, and storytelling through dance. This class emphasizes the importance of movement control while learning engaging choreography.
- Thursdays: Ages 6-8 will be from 4:30-5:30 (max of 12) AND Ages 9-12 will be from 5:30-6:30 (max of 12)

Basketball
This class will help members work on their basketball fundamentals and skills, including shooting and ball handling. Members will also learn about offense, defense, the game of basketball, and how to play!
- Mondays: Ages 6-8 (Practice & Drill Team) from 4:30-5:30 (max of 25) AND Ages 9-12 (Traveling Team) from 5:30-6:30 pm (max of 15)
How To Enroll
Before registering for these classes, please confirm that your youth is signed up for a 2024-2025 school year membership at Appleton. You can check this information on the home page of the Caregiver Portal login under “Memberships & Program Registrations”. If you need to create a portal account for the first time and/or complete a school year membership, please follow the steps in our Caregiver Portal Guide here. Once your youth are signed up for a 2024-2025 school year membership, adding program registrations is a breeze.
- Follow the steps below, or refer to pg 10, “Adding a Program Registration,” in our Caregiver Portal Guide.
- Login to your Caregiver Portal Account.
- Click on the “Programs” tab at the top of the page.
- Select the program category and course option(s) you wish to sign up for (ie: Appleton Basketball, Appleton Jazz Dance, Appleton Lyrical Dance).
- Click “Enroll” on the course option selection you want, then click the blue “Select” button on each member. Click “Save”.
- Review all selections, then click to answer any additional questions and “Finish” to complete the enrollment.
