There are some new changes (taking effect June 4, 2026) to the detour route to access the Boys & Girls Club of Appleton due to ongoing construction on Badger Ave.
We hope these updates help you navigate our Club with ease. Your safety and convenience mean everything to us!
Here’s what Boys & Girls Club of Appleton visitors need to know:
🔹Accessing the Club: Visitors can navigate to the Club’s front short-term parking lot for youth drop-off and pick-up in two ways:
- Turning south off College Ave onto Locust St., then right into Kimball Alley next to the Club, then turn left by JJ’s Laundromat to navigate to S. Pierce Ave, before pulling into the Club lot.
- Turning off College Avenue by going around the “No Thru Traffic” barricade to S. Badger Ave. and taking a left on S. Pierce Ave, before pulling into the Club lot.
🔹Safety Reminder: To keep everyone safe, families should NOT enter the Club pick-up and drop-off area from Lawrence Street. Instead, use one of these routes:
- From College Ave → Badger St. → S. Pierce Ave
- From Kimball Alley into the front lot
We’ve seen cars entering from Lawrence Street the wrong way, which creates a safety risk. We’ve added measures to prevent this, but we need your help to keep all youth and families safe when arriving and leaving the Club.
🔹Additional Parking: Visitors can also use the two staff lots to the east of the Club. Visitors should enter onto W. Lawrence St. or W. 8th St. to S. Locust from S. Memorial Dr.
🔹Exiting the Area: All visitors must exit drop-off & pick-up heading east on Lawrence St. or Locust & W 8th St. due to the road closure on Badger.
🔹 Parking Reminder: Please avoid parking on Lawrence Street. With the detour in place, this area will experience increased traffic flow, and keeping it clear will help ensure safety and smoother movement.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate these construction-related changes. We’ll continue to keep you updated on any changes to the construction timeline or traffic flow.
