Today was one to remember, as Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley supporters and friends gathered to break ground on the Boys & Girls Club of Neenah location. This groundbreaking brings Neenah young people one step closer to having daily access to a safe place where they can learn and grow, build relationships with caring adults, and participate in life-enhancing opportunities.
Shannon Bazinaw (BGCFV Board President), Greg Lemke-Rochon (BGCFV CEO), John Bergstrom, and Neenah’s Mayor Lang spoke before campaign stakeholders grabbed shovels and hard hats to break ground on this new Club home. The address of this Club location is 2060 Marathon Avenue in Neenah (nestled between Marathon and Byrd Avenues).
Spanning 35,000 square feet, the Boys & Girls Club of Neenah will serve as a catalyst for its members, sparking their creativity and encouraging their dreams. It will feature spaces such as a Life & Workforce Readiness Center, dance studio, sensory room, trio of learning centers, family conference room, dining area, playground, full-scale gymnasium, modern teen lounge, state-of-the-art Makers Lab, among others. This Club is expected to serve over 1,000 young people and their families annually.
The Boys & Girls Club of Neenah will be built by longtime Club supporter Miron Construction alongside the architectural firm Gries Architectural Group Inc. Construction is expected to be completed in July 2025. The Neenah location plans to begin serving youth at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
