Summer Food Service Program serving kids this summer!

Stressing the importance of offering nutritious meals to children during the summer months, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley participating in the Summer Food Service Program.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides nutritious meals to children during the summer, when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable. 

When and Where Meals Are Available:

The following locations will be serving free meals this summer through August 18th, 2022 (no meals served July 1st and 4th): Boys & Girls Club of Appleton (160 S. Badger Ave, Appleton) between 8-9AM and 11AM-1PM, and the Boys & Girls Club of Menasha (600 Racine Street, Menasha) between 8-9AM and 11:15AM-12:45PM.

Summer Food Service Meal Program Regulations:

  • Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and under.  Persons over 18 years of age who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year may receive free meals as well.
  • Meals must be eaten on site (cannot be taken off-site)
  • Youth do not need to be Club members to qualify for these meals.
  • No registration is required for youth to receive meals through the Summer Food Service Program.
  • Meals are provided to eligible children regardless of race, color, national origin, age, gender or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of meal service.
