Celebrating the achievements and dreams of local youth, we’re excited to announce our upcoming Junior Youth of the Year event! This event will occur at the Boys & Girls Club of Appleton on Thursday, April 25.
Junior Youth of the Year is a Leadership Readiness Program for young people ages 10-14, served through Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley. Through the Junior Youth of the Year, young people develop foundational leadership knowledge and skills to build confidence and overcome challenges. It is a chance for these amazing young people to reflect and clarify their personal values, vision, purpose, and passion. Youth can showcase their talents and achievements, share their hopes and dreams, and work toward their bright and positive future.
Event Details:
This year’s event is taking place at the Boys & Girls Club of Appleton (located at 160 S. Badger Ave) on the evening of Thursday, April 25. The event reception will begin at 5:30 pm, and the program will start at 6 pm. This event is free and open to the public. No RSVPs are required. The Club will announce this year’s Junior Youth of the Year at the end of the event.
Event Schedule:
- 5:30-6:00 pm – Learn more about each candidate by checking out their displays. Music and refreshments will also be provided.
- 6:00-7:00 pm – Hear from speakers, enjoy entertainment, and discover who the Junior Youth of the Year winner will be!

- Cindy X. – Boys & Girls Club of Foster Elementary
Junior Youth of the Year involves submitting a formal application and creating an “All About Me Portfolio.” This year’s finalists also write and deliver a speech, which they’ll share at the event. There were 13 candidates this year, and the Junior Youth of the Year Planning Committee narrowed them down to 5 finalists.
