BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE FOX VALLEY RECEIVES COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANT FROM NEW YORK LIFE
Appleton, WI (May 12, 2017) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley announces today that it has been awarded a $25,000 Community Impact Grant from New York Life.
The Community Impact grant will support Sprout and Changes, two programs within the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley’s Center for Grieving Children, which helps Boys & Girls Club members ages six to 11 build resiliency skills to help increase kids’ ability to cope with difficult and stressful times in their lives. “We are grateful for New York Life’s investment in Sprout and Changes, which will change many lives for the better,” said Greg Lemke-Rochon, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley.“Without the support from New York Life, we wouldn’t be able to help these children navigate through a tough time in their lives. Change is a part of life, yet too much can be stressful, especially for a child. Families move, loved ones die, parents divorce, jobs are lost, and kids switch schools – all are examples of the experiences our children often face.”
The Community Impact Grant program awards grants of up to $25,000 to local nonprofit organizations which are championed by New York Life agents and employees to serve the needs of their local communities. Since the program’s inception in 2008, 452 grants totaling nearly $6 million have been awarded to nonprofits across the country.
