Leading the way to brighter futures
Congratulations to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley CEO, Greg Lemke-Rochon, who was recently awarded with Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s highest honor, the Blue Spirit Award!
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated what it means to truly be a Club and community leader, and who have gone above and beyond to drive impact and make a difference.
Greg has been serving children and youth in need for over 30 years and was instrumental in the opening the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley back in 1998. Today there are nine Club sites within the organization, which serve an average of 12,000 youth annually! The organization employs over 120 staff annually and benefits from the contributions of over 750 volunteers.
Under Greg’s leadership the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley has distinguished itself through its Youth & Family Services Department, which provides no-cost services to thousands of children, youth, and families each year through Youth & Family Counseling, the Truancy Reduction and Assessment Center, the STAR program, Runaway & Homeless Youth Services, and the Center for Grieving Children.
Upon receiving the award Greg had this to say, “A true honor and really recognition that I honestly have to say doesn’t belong to me, but to the incredible team members that I’m so fortunate to come to work with every day.”
“We have a group of people in our organization that bleed as much blue as I do, and really truly are there for all of the right reasons doing incredible work. They keep coming on the ride with me and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
Greg has been recognized as the 2013 Executive of the Year for the Association of Boys & Girls Club Professionals for the Midwest Region and also received the 2013 Horizon Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Midwest Region.
We’re proud to have Greg leading the charge as we work to create bright futures for youth in the Fox Valley. He has made a tremendous difference in the lives of countless children in the Fox Valley!
