The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley launched a brand new Club last week! This isn’t a physical Club like our others, this is Virtual Club! This Club enables us to continue to connect with the youth and families we serve and engage them in daily learning. And the best part is that membership to Virtual Club is completely FREE!
Virtual Club provides daily programming (Monday – Friday) is shared on our Facebook page as well as our YouTube channel. There are a total of eight videos that we share daily. We believe it’s important to have consistency with this daily schedule to provide children and youth with some structure during a time when routines are constantly evolving.
Programming begins each day with a good morning video, a morning mindfulness activity, and a daily fitness challenge. In the afternoon, we feature one of our many Club programs, share a riddle of the day, and an art project. We wrap up the day with a read-a-loud story and a good evening video.
Staff from our various Club locations have been curating this content. By having staff lead these videos, Club Members are able to see the same faces they have come to know and respect. We hope these familiar faces provide comfort to youth who are facing their own challenges during this time.
