More About the National Arts Contest

This is an annual contest for youth associated with the Boys & Girls Club to submit artwork based on themes at a local and then national level. Boys & Girls Clubs of America facilitates this annual National Arts Contest. All artwork is evaluated by age groups: 6-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18.

This year’s themes include:

  • Setting expectations – being your best self
  • Speaking up – youth voice & leadership
  • Social Justice through the arts
  • Wellness inside and out – Personal and community wellbeing

While the art is on display, community judges will come through and choose one piece from each theme and age group to move on to nationals. Then on March 28, the National Arts Contest event will be live-streamed and winners will be announced.
